So grateful to have spent the last few weeks on the road with Radio Luxembourg Live with the amazing John Waters and our fantastic band, it was good for my soul to be back on stage with such a supportive team. Last Nov I started to come down with Hashimotos Disease and it completely slammed my thyroid, which of course affected my voice considerably as well as my overall health- it was scary! 3 months later with medication, a very strict anti inflammatory diet (which I’m on now for life!) thyroid biopsy, many trips to Drs, my ENT, endocrinologist and lots of blood tests, I’m really starting to come good and inflammation is really going down- thank goodness! It’s been a wild (over 3 month) journey but I’ve done a lot of self reflection and the experience has taught me so much… it’s not what I lost, but what I have gained. I’ll never sacrifice my health ever again and I’ve realised I’ve been living in fight or flight for years… that’s done now too. Bring on balance, self care, gratitude, soul nourishment and love for life… that’s where I’m at now. I love this show and everyone in it and the music- it brought me back to life and I’m so so thankful!
